Horse racing & greyhounds
A trustworthy racing page explains the terms that quietly alter a payout, which is why those terms come first here.
Non-runners and the Rule 4 deduction cut a return after the bet is struck; SP and ante-post fix a price in two different ways; each-way splits one stake into a win bet and a place bet, doubling the outlay. Horses and greyhounds each get odds, tips and predictions.
Duty rules are specific to racing. General Betting Duty is 15% now and becomes 25% for remote betting on 1 April 2027, but remote bets on UK horse racing remain at 15%, and Pool Betting Duty is 15%.
